Retail Curriculum
Focused Skills Development 1. Communication
Includes appropriate customer and co-worker interactions.
2. Shop Keeping
Includes inventory control, money handling, and cleaning.
3. Marketing
Includes social media content, merchandising, and promotions.
4. Office
Includes use of copier/printer, filing, and phone etiquette.
5. e-Commerce
Includes order retrieval, packaging/ mailing, reading, and writing.
6. General Life
Includes time management, task analysis, hygiene, and professional expectations.
At our retail store located at 1300 Post Road in Fairfield, our team members are provided with ample opportunity to exercise their ability to read, to perform math, and to make use of both fine and gross motor skills. They package and sell our products while learning practical skills including customer service and retailing.
Production Curriculum
Focused Skills Development 1. Food Safety
Implements safe practice of food handling, storage, and preparation.
2. Kitchen Safety and Cleanliness
Implements sanitary methods and safe use of high temperature ovens/trays and appliances.
3. Baking Skills
Implements reading, math, repetitive tasks, sequential ordering and fine motor skills.
4. Non-Baking Skills
Implements hand-eye coordination, tying/knotting, and spatial recognition.
5. General Life
Includes time management, task analysis, personal hygiene, and professional expectations.
At our production facility located at 2861 Fairfield Ave in Bridgeport, our team members are introduced to and instructed on a variety of skills necessary for the successful production of dog treats, no-sew pet blankets and pet toys. They prepare and bake our products while learning skills including quality control and kitchen safety.
