To provide vocational training and job skills development to young adults with disabilities, while educating the community about the need for increased job opportunities for these individuals.
Did you Know?
Programs offered through the public school system to students with disabilities decline at age 18 and become unavailable to those students once they turn 21? Team Woofgang & Co. looks to address those issues directly by providing learning opportunities and vocational skills with the goal of offering invaluable independence and self-worth that comes with "a job well done."
WHAT WE DO
At Team Woofgang & Co. we offer adults with disabilities hands-on job skills training and peer support so they can empower themselves to be vibrant contributors to their community. Our retail curriculum allows our team members to package and sell our products at the Team Woofgang & Co. retail store located at 1300 Post Road in Fairfield, CT. (Between USPS and 16 Handles). Our production curriculum allows team members to prepare and bake high quality peanut butter dog treats at our specialized vocational training facility in the heart of the Black Rock district of Bridgeport, CT. We also participate in a number of local community fairs and festivals selling products and raising awareness of our mission. Click here to see what we're up to.
HOw it all started
Co-founders (L to R) Kelly Maffei, Amy Stern and Kris Burbank formed FUTURES-CT, Inc. in 2017. The nonprofit officially changed its name to Team Woofgang & Co. in 2020.
